“Great Moments that Changed the Course of Art”

What are great moments in art? The discovery of the first pigments…new technologies over the centuries?  The birth of Michelangelo, the last brush stroke on the Mona Lisa, the start of new art movements? Sudden influences from abroad?

Anthony Drake discusses events, discoveries and passions that have pushed artists into uncharted, strange, even incomprehensible territory. He had a great moment himself as a Fine Arts student when he was inside a black box in Manchester Piccadilly trying to talk to passers-by through a small hole near the bottom. So expect the unexpected.
