25 January Wing Commander Coulcher
“History of the South Downs: Eastbourne to Lewes”
Welcome back Patrick Coulcher for another of his colourful, absorbing and beautifully illustrated wildlife and natural history lectures. This one combines South Downs birds, butterflies and orchids, the chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters, the beautiful Cuckmere Estuary near Exceat by Seaford head, and the Downs’ new National Park status. Patrick, educated at Eastbourne College and RAF Cranford, was 40 years a fighter pilot before, from 1992, developing his new career talking and writing about natural history.
